Acoustic Mineral Wool

Acoustic mineral wool is used inside wall, floor and ceiling cavities to absorb sound energy, reduce cavity resonance and improve the performance of complete soundproofing systems. It is commonly installed between timber studs, metal studs, floor joists, ceiling voids and service cavities.

This collection includes high-density stone wool and glass mineral wool products from Rockwool, Knauf and Isover, including acoustic slabs and partition rolls. Mineral wool should be used as part of a full system with the correct boards, membranes, resilient bars, isolation clips, acoustic sealant and perimeter detailing.

Final acoustic performance depends on the complete construction, installation quality, sealing and any flanking noise paths.
