Shipping policy

Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping with Soundproofing King.

This Shipping Policy explains how delivery works for orders placed through our website. We aim to be clear and upfront about delivery costs, lead times and possible surcharges before you order. If you are unsure about delivery costs, lead times, access requirements or whether a surcharge may apply to your postcode, please contact us before placing your order.

Delivery Area

Soundproofing King delivers across the UK.

Most UK mainland deliveries are straightforward, but some locations may take longer or carry additional delivery charges. This can include rural locations, remote postcodes, offshore locations, islands, the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and areas with limited courier or pallet-network access.

If your delivery address may fall into one of these areas, please contact us before ordering and we can check the delivery cost and estimated lead time for you.

Delivery Costs

Delivery costs depend on the products ordered, the size and weight of the order, the delivery postcode and the transport method required.

Standard Small Item Delivery

Small deliveries, such as boxes of Genie Clips, 70mm acoustic ceiling hangers, screws, tapes, sealants and other small accessories, are usually charged at:

£20.00 ex VAT delivery

VAT will be added at checkout where applicable.

Standard Palletised Delivery

Palletised deliveries, including heavier and bulkier soundproofing products such as Tecsound, acoustic underlays, acoustic floor panels, acoustic plasterboard, mineral wool, mass loaded vinyl, rubber panels and other large soundproofing materials, are usually charged at:

£55.00 ex VAT delivery

VAT will be added at checkout where applicable.

Some larger orders, remote postcodes or restricted-access deliveries may cost more. If this applies, we will contact you before dispatch or you can contact us before ordering for confirmation.

2.4m Furring Channel Delivery

Due to the length of 2.4m furring channels, there is a delivery surcharge in most cases.

Long items can be more expensive to transport than standard boxed goods because they may require a longer vehicle, specialist courier service or separate handling. If you are ordering 2.4m furring channels and are unsure of the delivery cost, please contact us before placing your order.

Free Delivery on Orders Over £2,000 ex VAT

We offer free delivery on all orders over £2,000 ex VAT, subject to standard UK mainland delivery conditions.

This applies to the product subtotal before VAT. Some remote, rural, offshore or restricted-access locations may still require a delivery surcharge. If you are unsure, please contact us before ordering.

PIR Insulation Delivery

PIR insulation products qualify for free delivery on orders over £500 ex VAT, subject to standard UK mainland delivery conditions.

If you are ordering PIR insulation and are unsure whether your order qualifies for free delivery, or whether your postcode may carry an additional charge, please contact us before placing your order.

Collection from Croydon

Collection may be possible from our Croydon branch by appointment only.

Please do not arrive without arranging collection with us first. Some products may need to be transferred, prepared or confirmed as available before collection.

To arrange a collection, please contact us before placing your order or before travelling to the branch.

Delivery Lead Times

Most deliveries take 1–3 working days, depending on stock, product type, order size and delivery location.

Some orders may take longer, especially where goods are:

  • Large, heavy or palletised

  • Long-length items such as 2.4m furring channels

  • Ordered in bulk

  • Delivered to rural or remote areas

  • Coming from multiple warehouses or suppliers

  • Temporarily out of stock

  • Being delivered by specialist transport

Any delivery timeframe shown on the website, at checkout or discussed with us should be treated as an estimate unless we have confirmed a specific delivery date in writing.

If you need goods for a specific date, please contact us before ordering so we can check availability and delivery options.

Split Deliveries

Some orders may arrive in more than one delivery.

This can happen when your order includes products from different suppliers, warehouses or transport networks. For example, small accessories may arrive separately from larger palletised materials, PIR insulation, furring channels or specialist soundproofing products.

We will do our best to keep you informed where this applies.

Delivery Access

You are responsible for making sure the delivery address is correct and accessible.

Before ordering, please consider whether there is:

  • Suitable access for a courier, van or pallet vehicle

  • Space for the vehicle to stop safely

  • Someone available to receive the goods where required

  • Help on site for large, heavy or bulky items

  • Any parking, height, width or access restrictions

  • Any stairs, lifts, narrow entrances or restricted delivery areas

Some deliveries are kerbside only. Drivers are not always able to carry goods into the property, upstairs, into flats, through narrow access points or into specific rooms.

If access is limited, please contact us before placing your order.

Missed Deliveries and Failed Delivery Attempts

If delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available, the address is incorrect, access is restricted, the goods are refused, or the courier cannot safely deliver, additional charges may apply.

These may include:

  • Re-delivery charges

  • Storage fees

  • Return transport costs

  • Supplier or courier administration charges

Please make sure all delivery details are correct before placing your order.

Checking Your Delivery

Please inspect your delivery as soon as it arrives.

Before signing for goods, check for:

  • Visible damage

  • Missing items

  • Incorrect items

  • Damaged packaging

  • Signs of mishandling in transit

If there is visible damage, please note this with the driver where possible and take clear photos before the goods are moved or installed.

Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Goods

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible.

Email: sales@soundproofingking.co.uk
Phone: 0203 747 1285

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Your name

  • Photos of the issue

  • A short description of the problem

  • Photos of the packaging, delivery label and damaged goods where relevant

We may not be able to help fully if damage, shortages or delivery issues are reported long after the goods were received.

Delivery Delays

We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. This may include courier disruption, supplier delays, stock delays, transport issues, weather conditions, access problems, incorrect delivery details or other unforeseen circumstances.

If there is a known delay affecting your order, we will aim to keep you updated.
