Price Promise

At Soundproofing King, we aim to offer competitive prices on soundproofing materials, insulation, acoustic products and general building materials.

We know customers often compare prices before ordering, especially on products such as Tecsound, acoustic plasterboard, mineral wool, PIR insulation, resilient bars, clips, channels, underlays, sealants and accessories. If you have found the same product cheaper elsewhere, let us know and we will do our best to match or improve the price where possible.

Our aim is simple: clear pricing, fair comparisons and no wasted time.

How Our Price Promise Works

If you find the same product available from another UK supplier at a lower price, contact us before placing your order.

We will check the product, quantity, delivery cost, availability and supplier details. If the comparison is fair and the product is like-for-like, we will try to match or beat the price.

To request a price check, send us:

  • A link to the competitor’s product page, or

  • A formal written quote from the supplier

  • The quantity you need

  • Your delivery postcode

  • Any delivery charge shown by the competitor

  • Your preferred delivery timeframe

Once we have the details, we can confirm whether we are able to match or improve the price.

What Counts as a Like-for-Like Product?

For a fair comparison, the product must be the same or directly equivalent.

This usually means the same:

  • Brand or manufacturer

  • Product type

  • Thickness

  • Size

  • Roll size, board size or pack size

  • Weight, density or performance grade where relevant

  • Quantity

  • Condition

  • Delivery area

  • Availability

For example, a 50mm acoustic mineral wool slab should be compared against the same brand, thickness, density and pack size where possible. A Tecsound roll should be compared against the same Tecsound grade, size and roll format. A PIR board should be compared against the same thickness and board size.

If the products are not identical but are genuinely comparable, we may still review the price on a case-by-case basis.

Delivery Costs Matter

When comparing prices, we look at the total cost of the order, including delivery.

A lower product price is not always cheaper once delivery, pallet charges, rural surcharges, long-item surcharges or minimum order charges are added.

For a fair comparison, we usually need to compare:

  • Product price

  • Delivery charge

  • VAT position

  • Quantity

  • Lead time

  • Delivery postcode

  • Whether the product is in stock and ready to dispatch

If another supplier has a lower product price but a higher delivery charge, we will compare the full delivered cost.

Products Must Be Available

The competitor’s product must be in stock or available to order within a realistic timeframe.

We may not be able to match prices where the product is:

  • Out of stock

  • Listed as “from” pricing only

  • Price on application

  • Clearance only

  • End-of-line

  • Limited quantity

  • Not available for delivery to your area

  • Subject to an unusually long lead time

If the competitor cannot supply the goods in the quantity you need, it may not be a fair comparison.

VAT and Trade Pricing

Please make it clear whether the competitor’s price is shown including VAT or excluding VAT.

Many building-material websites show prices differently, so we will compare prices on the same basis wherever possible.

If you have a trade or bulk order, contact us directly. We may be able to offer improved pricing depending on the product, quantity, delivery location and supplier availability.

What We May Not Be Able to Match

We will always try to help, but some prices may not qualify for a match.

This can include:

  • Pricing errors

  • Auction sites

  • Marketplace sellers

  • Private sellers

  • Used, damaged or returned goods

  • Clearance or liquidation stock

  • Voucher-code-only offers

  • Cashback-only offers

  • Loyalty or membership-only discounts

  • Trade-only prices not available to the general public

  • Prices from suppliers that cannot deliver to your postcode

  • Products that are not genuinely like-for-like

  • Quotes that are expired or cannot be verified

We also reserve the right to decline a price match where the comparison is not fair, the product is not available, or the delivered cost cannot be verified.

If you are comparing prices for a full project, speak to us before ordering.

Soundproofing products can be difficult to compare because similar-looking products may have different thicknesses, densities, weights, acoustic performance, roll sizes, board sizes or pack coverage. We can help check whether you are comparing the right products and whether the cheaper option is genuinely suitable for your project.
