Knauf Rocksilk RS60 Acoustic Mineral Wool Slab 60kg/m³
Knauf Rocksilk RS60 Acoustic Mineral Wool Slab 60kg/m³
Knauf Rocksilk RS60 is a high-density rock mineral wool insulation slab designed for acoustic, thermal and fire protection applications. With a density of 60kg/m³, it is suitable for use in walls, floors, roofs, partitions and acoustic build-ups where a denser insulation slab is required.
RS60 helps absorb sound within cavities, reducing resonance and improving the performance of wall, floor and ceiling systems. It is also suitable for thermal insulation and fire protection applications, making it a versatile slab for both domestic and commercial projects.
This product is supplied in 1200mm x 600mm slabs and is available in 25mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm thicknesses.

Installation Notes
Install the slabs tightly between studs, joists or framing members, making sure the cavity is filled without large gaps. Cut slabs neatly around services and obstructions to reduce weak points in the build-up.
RS60 should be used as part of a complete acoustic system. Final sound reduction depends on the full construction, including board layers, cavity depth, isolation products, acoustic sealant, perimeter detailing and any flanking noise paths.
