Soprema Tecsound Acoustic Membrane
Soprema Tecsound Acoustic Membrane
Soprema Tecsound is a high-density acoustic membrane used to add mass and damping to walls, floors, ceilings and partitions. It helps improve airborne sound insulation when installed as part of a complete layered soundproofing system.
Tecsound is thin, flexible and easy to cut, making it useful where strong acoustic mass is required without adding excessive build-up depth. It can be used behind plasterboard, within floor systems, on ceilings, around enclosures and in other acoustic constructions where additional sound-blocking mass is needed.
This product is available in standard and self-adhesive versions. Self-adhesive Tecsound is easier to apply to suitable boards, panels and surfaces, while non-adhesive Tecsound is commonly used within layered acoustic systems where separate fixing or bonding methods are specified.

Installation Notes
Install Tecsound according to the selected product type and project build-up. Self-adhesive versions should be applied to clean, dry and suitable surfaces. Non-adhesive Tecsound should be fixed or bonded in accordance with the system specification.
Seal joints and perimeters carefully to reduce sound leakage. Final acoustic performance depends on the complete build-up, including board layers, insulation, isolation products, sealing, existing structure and any flanking noise paths.
