Recticel EuroWall+ Full-Fill Cavity Board
Recticel EuroWall+ Full-Fill Cavity Board
EuroWall+ is a PIR cavity board developed for full-fill masonry walls. The board edges interlock to reduce open joints and help maintain a continuous insulation layer as the wall is built.
It is a different product from standard partial-fill EuroWall, so the two should not be swapped purely on thickness.
Fit boards closely around wall ties, stagger vertical joints and keep mortar droppings out of the board joints.
Why Choose This Product?
Choose this only when it matches the cavity strategy on the drawing. Full-fill and partial-fill boards are not interchangeable; the board facing, joint detail and required residual cavity are different.
Key Features
· PIR full-fill cavity board
· Engineered edge profile
· For masonry cavity construction
· Low-emissivity facings
Common Uses
· Full-fill cavity walls
· New housing and extensions
Installation
Cut boards or rolls accurately, close every joint and keep the insulation layer continuous at corners, openings and service penetrations. Use the fixings, tapes, membranes and covering layers stated for the selected construction.
Before You Install
· Mixing up full-fill and partial-fill products.
· Selecting a thickness without checking cavity width and the required residual cavity.
· Leaving open joints or mortar droppings on board edges.
· Using the wrong retaining clips or wall-tie detail.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this full fill or partial fill?
Use the application stated in the title and technical description. Do not substitute one cavity strategy for the other.
Can I cut cavity boards?
Yes. Cut cleanly and keep the facing intact. Small pieces should remain firmly retained.
Do the joints need taping?
Follow the named cavity system. Most masonry cavity boards rely on tight joints and correct retaining details rather than ordinary foil tape.
How do I calculate quantity?
Divide the wall area by the coverage per board or pack, then allow for cutting waste and openings.
Can it be used in an existing wall?
Rigid cavity boards are normally installed as the wall is built. They are not injected into a completed cavity.
What You'll Need
· Correct wall ties
· Insulation retaining clips
· Cavity closers
· Cavity trays and stop ends
· PIR cutting saw
Do You Need These Too?
These products are often useful for completing this type of installation:
· Alpha Foil Tape — Seal foil-faced board joints and repair small tears for a neat, continuous finish.
· Siniat GTEC dB Board — Add a denser lining where the completed wall or ceiling also needs improved acoustic performance.
· Acoustic Sealant AC50 — Seal lining perimeters and small gaps to help reduce sound leakage through the finished construction.
