M20 / SM20 Acoustic Rubber Panel is a dense 20mm rubber soundproofing panel used in wall and floor acoustic systems. It is designed to add mass and help reduce vibration transfer when installed as part of a complete soundproofing build-up.
Each panel measures 1000mm x 1000mm and covers 1m². The dense rubber construction makes it useful where acoustic mass is needed without adding excessive build-up depth.
This panel is commonly used for party walls, separating walls, floors, studios, media rooms, home offices, flats and domestic soundproofing upgrades.
This product is not a complete soundproofing system on its own. For best results, it should be used with the correct supporting materials, such as acoustic plasterboard, acoustic mineral wool, acoustic sealant, suitable adhesive and proper perimeter detailing.

Using the correct supporting products is important. Gaps, unsealed edges, weak existing structures, poor fixing or rigid contact around the perimeter can reduce the performance of the full soundproofing system.
Wall Installation Notes
The existing wall should be dry, stable, clean and suitable to carry the additional weight before installation. Panels can be cut to size on site where required.
Where used on walls, the panel is normally installed as part of a layered acoustic lining, with acoustic plasterboard or soundproofing board fitted over the front.
Joints should be tight, edges should be sealed, and the final board layer should be installed according to the project specification.
Do not rely on adhesive alone unless the installation method and substrate are suitable. Mechanical fixing may be required depending on the wall type, panel weight and full system design.
Floor Installation Notes
Where used in floor systems, the product should only be installed as part of a suitable acoustic floor build-up.
The existing floor should be stable, level and free from loose boards, gaps or major defects before installation.
Perimeter isolation is important. The acoustic layer and floor finish should not make rigid contact with surrounding walls, skirting boards, pipes or structural elements.
