Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 Flat Roof Board
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 Flat Roof Board
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 is a PIR insulation board for warm flat roofs using mechanically fixed single-ply waterproofing membranes.
It is selected as part of the complete roofing system, not as a general-purpose PIR substitute. The membrane, deck, fixings and wind-load design all affect the final specification.
Keep the board edges close, stagger joints and cover the insulation promptly after installation.
Why Choose This Product?
Choose this because its facing and board properties are made for the stated waterproofing system. A cheaper general-purpose PIR board is not automatically an acceptable substitute on a flat roof.
Key Features
· Warm flat roof PIR
· For mechanically fixed single-ply systems
· Rigid foil-faced board
· Multiple thicknesses
Common Uses
· Commercial flat roofs
· Residential warm roofs
· Roof refurbishment
Installation
Cut boards or rolls accurately, close every joint and keep the insulation layer continuous at corners, openings and service penetrations. Use the fixings, tapes, membranes and covering layers stated for the selected construction.
Before You Install
· Substituting general-purpose PIR for a roof board with different facings.
· Leaving boards exposed to rain or site traffic.
· Ignoring the waterproofing manufacturer's compatibility requirements.
· Laying four board corners at one point instead of staggering joints.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this replace standard PIR?
Only where the waterproofing and roof-system documents permit it. Flat-roof board facings are selected for particular membranes and adhesives.
Can it be left outside overnight?
No. Keep boards dry and cover the installed area promptly.
Should joints be staggered?
Yes. Stagger joints and avoid lining up four board corners.
Can I walk directly on it?
Limit traffic and use temporary protection. The finished roof layers distribute loads.
Which thickness do I need?
That comes from the required roof U-value and the complete roof build-up.
What You'll Need
